Pennsylvania Casino Operator Opens Online Casino in New Jersey

With online gambling not being legal/regulated in Pennsylvania at the current time, SugarHouse Casino, a gaming venue located in the Keystone State, has taken it upon themselves to launch an online casino website across the ditch in New Jersey, which has regulated internet gambling. The online casino can be accessed at and in addition to the main platform, a mobile app which is compatible with iOS and Android devices is available.

To enter the New Jersey gaming market, online casino operators need to have partnered with land-based casinos as service providers. SugarHouse Casino made the decision to partner with Atlantic City’s Golden Nugget, using its online casino license to offer real-money online casino games in the Garden State. The partnership is approved by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).

The geo-location requirements established by the DGE has ensured that every online casino that holds their gaming license is only accepting New Jersey residents and citizens, and not players from other states. This is an important requirement of any licensing authority for online gaming to ensure these regulated casino sites are only offered to eligible players. Deposits can be made outside of New Jersey, but play must take place within the state’s boundaries.

New Office to Service its Customers

To provide real money casino games for online customers in New Jersey, Rush Street Gaming, the owner and developer of SugarHouse Casino, opened an office in Cherry Hill, and there are five talented people currently working there, with more to be added to the team as the casino experiences growth. The New Jersey office will be used to service its customers who are playing at their casino.

SugarHouse Casino Plans to Grow its Customer Base

The core reason for the launch of this new online casino is to expand the SugarHouse customer base.

“We are excited to broaden the SugarHouse reach to new players in New Jersey and give players more choice about how they want to enjoy their casino gaming experience,”

said Rush Street Gaming CEO Greg Carlin in a press release.

It goes without saying that the State of Pennsylvania will keep a close eye on the revenues generated by the new New Jersey online casino at Internet gambling could provide a boost to the regional economy.
