Playtech, one of the leading gaming software developers recently announced that has signed a new deal to deploy its Neon casino management system (CMS) for Grosvenor Casinos which is UK’s largest casino chain. Grosvenor is owned by gambling operator Rank Group and is at present in 55 locations across UK.
The software rollout is expected to occur in all the 55 casino locations, resulting in a significant expansion of Playtech’s presence in UK. This deal follows Playtech’s recent agreement with the Genting casino brand under which the software company will deploy its Neon CMS across Genting’s 43 casinos located in the UK.
These two partnerships put Playtech in a commanding position in the UK as its Neon CMS is now being used by over 90 percent of casinos in the UK. Playtech’s Neon casino management system is a comprehensive solution that handles player data, guest relationship data and also manages all cash desk related operations. In addition, the CMS supports other critical activities such as those related to money-laundering prevention and responsible gambling.
Grosvenor is also said to be installing the company’s Neon Analytics package. This innovative business intelligence software will provide custom casino-specific analytics and dashboards to provide inputs for improving management by the venue and the head office staff. Playtech will handle both implementation and software management for the solutions.
Playtech promotes itself as the world’s largest gambling software and services supplier and its Neon solution is considered to be the most advanced casino software available. Martin Sykes, Managing Director, Intelligent Gaming Systems, Playtech said that the company were very happy to partner with UK’s largest land-based casino operator. He added that this would further cement Playtech’s position as the world’s fastest growing casino software company.
In a statement, Sykes said,
This project is another example of our unique consultative approach. We performed an extensive scoping exercise to analyze Grosvenor’s requirements and worked closely with the group’s operational experts to identify several opportunities to improve our systems and the casinos’ business processes.
According to Richard Playle, Director of Finance at Grosvenor Casinos, the company needed a software partner who was able to quickly deploy a solutionwhich would be able to handle requirements of different users spread geographically. He said that the Grosvenor chose Playtech after evaluating a number of other companies, finding them to be the best.
The Neon CMS is expected to be implemented across all 55 Grosvenor casinos by the middle of this year.
